Kristen Hawkes, the founder of lelamooi was raised in Marin County, California in the '60s and '70s, an artistic and memorable time. Since that time she has found herself drawn to the creative process in both life and career. Over the years Kristen studied and worked in various aspects of art and design throughout the United States and Europe. She currently resides in Santa Barbara, California, where she raised her family, established herself as a working painter/fine artist and launched lelamooi.
